Weapon Brand Launches Virtual Safety Training Series for All Pinellas County Employees

St. Petersburg, FL – April 2025 — Weapon Brand, a leader in corporate safety and self-defense training, has launched a virtual safety training series exclusively for all Pinellas County employees, provided through the county’s wellness program.

The 8-part series is delivered live via Zoom during employees’ lunch breaks, making it convenient and easy to attend. The first two sessions—Personal Safety and Threat Awareness: Creating a Weapon Mindset—kicked off in April and exceeded the county’s expectations for attendance, with engagement levels reaching the highest seen in a virtual format since before the pandemic.

Upcoming sessions include:

  • De-Escalation and Conflict Avoidance (Sessions 3 & 4)
  • Strengthening Your Home Defense (Sessions 5 & 6)
  • Virtual Self-Defense Training (Sessions 7 & 8)

For employees who can’t attend live, all sessions are recorded and made available through the internal Pinellas County YouTube channel, accessible exclusively to county staff.

“Our mission is to provide real-world tools that help people stay safe and confident,” said Brian Anderson-Needham, co-founder and lead trainer at Weapon Brand.

“Safety shouldn’t feel overwhelming—it should feel achievable,” added Jamie Anderson, Co-Founder and CEO of Weapon Brand. “We’re honored to support Pinellas County employees in building a mindset of awareness, protection, and personal power—on and off the job.”
