About
The downtown historic EDGE District is an award-winning Florida Main Street and Main Street America™ operated by the EDGE Business District Association. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that plans, promotes, and advocates to sustain an eclectic, vibrant EDGE District community while preserving its unique character. Since 2014, the EBDA has been an instrumental advocate for the historic EDGE District. The following are highlights of the EBDA's ongoing work: • ORGANIZED & ACTIVE: - Executive Director, Board, four Main Street Committees; 60+ regular meetings a year - Coordinate/host full calendar of EDGE events - The EDGE District History Project - EDGE Business Assistance Programs - EDGE District Internship Program - EDGE District Quarterly Cleanups - Active participation in state & national Main Street conferences • STRONG ADVOCACY: - EDGE District Master Plan - EDGE District Historic Survey - EDGE District Specialty Center status - EDGE public parking & re-zoning - Grant funding for district projects - District representation on numerous citywide committees and before City Council • EFFECTIVE PROMOTION: - Renamed/rebranded district the “EDGE District” - Extensive web, social media & email promotions - EDGE District Mobile App (http://distrx.com) - Quarterly & Annual district-wide events - Monthly Newsletters & Press Releases - Widespread media coverage - City & State Recognition, incl. eight Florida Outstanding Main Street Awards
