In conjunction with our special exhibition The Subversive Eye: Surrealist and Experimental Photography from the David Raymond Collection, keyboardist Jennifer Theuer Růžička, alongside special guests vocalist Fred Johnson and bassist Tim Conwell, invites you to explore the surrealist themes of the exhibition through sound.

This unique performance draws inspiration from the exhibition’s exploration of how artists have used photographic techniques to question the very nature of perception and delving into the subconscious. The performance will focus on a selection of images from the exhibition, translating their surreal essence into sound. Utilizing the genre of Musique Concrète alongside acoustic instruments and spoken word, the performance will amplify the experimental nature of the surrealist photographs. Through this fusion of aural and visual elements, we invite you to perceive the artwork through an entirely new lens.
