International Coastal Clean-Up

Join Take MAR for a special International Coastal Clean-Up event at Shell Key! We’ll meet at Gulfport Municipal Marina and set off on a 30-minute boat ride through Boca Ciega Bay to reach the beautiful barrier island.

Once there, we will team up to remove trash and marine debris as part of the Ocean Conservancy’s global clean-up effort. Afterward, we’ll sail back to the marina, taking in the sights and wildlife of the Boca Ciega Bay Aquatic Preserve and reflecting on the impact we’ve made together.

This isn’t just another clean-up; it’s a boat day with a mission! You’ll help protect a barrier island, contribute to ocean conservation, and experience Shell Key in a more meaningful way by connecting with the environment and your community at the same time.

What to Bring:

• Comfortable clothing and shoes
• Reusable water bottle
• Sunscreen and hat

For safety purposes, please do not bring glass containers on the boat.
