Join us on a Thinking Outside the 'Burg - Local Edition ferry adventure!
The St. Pete Chamber is dedicated to proactively exploring ways to ensure the future economic prosperity of St. Petersburg. The Chamber's Housing Land Use & Development (HLUD) Committee focuses on development issues facing St. Pete including workforce housing, infrastructure, and zoning.
Another key element is transportation and connectivity, and we believe that expanding ferry transit is a paramount. The Chamber's Transportation Committee is in the planning stages of commissioning a Urban Land Institute (ULI) national panel study to learn more about the feasibility of ferry transit in Tampa Bay to connect the employment centers with population centers in our region.
The HLUD Committee has researched and organized a trip to the Water Street Development in downtown Tampa via the Cross Town Ferry. The goal of the trip is to hear from business leaders, elected officials, developers and planners regarding tech implementation, wellness focus and micromobility in the development.
Additional details and investment opportunities regarding the forthcoming ULI study will be discussed as well.
