The Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation will host a workday in the gardens to plant in the future Majeed Discovery Garden, currently under construction. Slated to open this Summer, the Majeed Discovery Garden will be a free, public, and accessible children's garden, for residents and visitors of Pinellas County to enjoy. We will be planting a variety of grasses to enhance the buffer zone around the McKay Creek greenway, which flows throughout the Florida Botanical Gardens. This is a chance to directly benefit a local Pinellas County Park, the nonprofit organization that supports it, and the community that will utilize it. Coffee and snacks will be provided by the gardens. Please wear close toed shoes and comfy clothes you do not mind getting dirty.
